| Things To Do While Waiting For Your Real Estate License | |

Become familiar with the office environment and The Platinum Team.
2. Become knowledgeable on real estate software, forms, web sites, etc. 3. Select a farm area. 4. Contact a title company to assist with a “farm package”. 5. Learn your farm area: tracts, models, floor plans, options, taxes, price range, homeowners association(s), Mello Roos assessments and real estate activity in the neighborhood. 6. Become acquainted with all new home developments in various price ranges – many “cooperate” (pay commissions) with the real estate community. 7. Attend open houses and broker previews. 8. Keep flyers of properties for sale in your area for reference – study them. 9. Investigate real estate advertising in local papers, etc., and the cost. 10. Co-host an open house with a company agent, offering assistance with signs, snacks, guest traffic, opening and closing procedures, etc. 11. Attend office meetings, broker caravans, office training sessions, special invitational events, etc. 12. Develop a database to include your “sphere of influence” - friends, neighbors, family, organizations, etc. 13. Prepare goals for your business, including good accounting practices. 14. Obtain a professional photo for marketing. This is important – get a good one. 15. Create a biography, a personal logo, etc. for your website and other marketing materials. 16. Purchase official Platinum real estate signs (for sale and open house), business cards, and supplies to assist in your business. 17. Visit or go online to the Association of Realtors to learn about the “board” and the benefits of becoming a member, including membership to the California and National Associations of Realtors.
